    A little About Me:

       (The Breeder)

My name is Heather. I live in the Southeast Tennessee/Northern Georgia area.  I have been a lover of Persian cats for over 17 years. All of my Persians are just like my children. They are raised inside with me and the rest of my family. They know that their family loves them very much! All of my Persians are  registered with the Cat Fanciers Association. They each receive a veterinarian health check every year. Occasionally, usually in the spring, one of my females will have a litter of kittens. And of course they become part of our family too! It is so easy to get attached to the little darlings, but as you can see I have plenty to love, so I just cant keep them all. That is why I have started this website. I am hoping to find loving homes for these babies. Homes with families that understand how precious they are and that will love them unconditionally! Again, thank you for visiting my site. If you have any questions please email me at felinefancyfaces@yahoo.com

Here is my Health Guarantee:

1. Every cat/kitten is warranted to be in good health to the best of the Breeder’s knowledge.  It is recommended that Buyer have the kitten examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours of purchase, at buyer’s expense. Any health problems of a life threatening and un-treatable nature shall be documented by the vet and reported to the seller immediately and a refund or replacement will be offered.  Any health    problems after this time shall be the responsibility of the Purchaser.
Failure to have the kitten checked within the time period makes all warranties null and void.

FELINE FANCY FACES is not responsible for any veterinarian costs.

2.  Under no circumstances after 72 hours will seller be obligated to refund money or allow kitten to be returned.

3.  Breeder will provide Purchaser at time of sale; kittens vaccination & health records.

4.  Breeder does not guarantee against treatable nuisances such as fleas, fungus, mites or upper respiratory infection, which are not life threatening. These are very treatable and so common in the breed and can be brought on by stress that the Breeder feels unable to guarantee against them, but takes all  preventative measures to ensure cats are free from these nuisances and would never knowingly place a kitten with any of these conditions.

5.  Please, under no circumstances should the kitten be de-clawed, as de-clawing is a mutilation and not considered good for the cat. There are other alternatives such as plastic caps which can be placed over each claw, or simply just keeping the nails trimmed.

 Love My Little Kitty......

I love my little kitty, she makes my house a home.
She always is my best friend, I never feel alone.
She makes me smile, she makes me laugh,
She fills my heart with love ...
Did some breeder breed her, or did she fall down from above?

I've never been a breeder, seen life through their eyes,
I hold my little kitty and just sit and criticize.
I've never known their anguish, I've never felt their pain,
The caring of their charges, through snow or wind and rain.

I've never sat the whole night through, waiting for babies to be born,
The stress and trepidation when they're still not there by dawn.
I've never felt the heartache, of a little life in my hands,
This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams.

Should you do that instead of this ....or this instead of that,
Alone you fight, and hope one day, he'll grow to be a cat,
and bring joy to another being, and make a house a home,
You know it's all just up to you, you'll fight this fight alone.

Formula, bottles, heating pads, you've got to get this right,
Two hourly feeds for this tiny guy, throughout the day and night.
In your heart you know, you're almost sure to lose the fight,
to save this little baby, but God willing ... you just MIGHT.

Day one he's in there fighting, you say a silent prayer,
Day two & three, he's doing well, with lots of love and care.
Day four & five ... he's still alive, your hopes soar to the
heavens,
Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands day seven.

You take this little angel, and bury him alone,
With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,
You ask yourself "Why do this? ... why suffer all this pain?"
But see the joy your kittens bring... it really self explains.

So, when you think of breeders and label them with "greed",
Think about what they endure to fill another's need.
When you buy a kitten and with your precious dollars part,
You only pay with money ... we pay with our heart.

And its official!! We now have kittens!! A total of four   babies. We have two reds, one cream and one blue cream. .. If you are interested in adopting one of these new little bundles of joy please stay tuned for updates. Below are a few  pictures of all my little angels...Enjoy!bbb

Here is more Information about

the Persian Breed:

Extremely docile and laid-back, Persians love to be pampered as much as people love pampering them.Sometimes called the well-rounded breed” because of their large, round eyes, round head, and round muzzles, Persians have the ability to take your breath away simply by their beauty. One of the most desirable of all the cat breeds, Persian cats are not at all a low-maintenance breed of cat. With their long, silky hair and downy undercoat, matting is common. The down of their coat, if not cared for properly will knot easily. The extreme-faced Persians require not only daily brushing, but drops in their eyes, cream under their eyes and attention to their sinuses that can easily become plugged. Persians come in many colors and patterns. They possess three types of hair in their coat. Persians are people-oriented and should always be kept indoors. Most Persians are highly intelligent.

THE CAT FANCIERS ASSOCIATION PERSIAN PROFILE

Persians, with their long flowing coats and open pansy-like faces are the number one breed in popularity. Their sweet, gentle, personalities blend into most households once they feel secure in their new environment. Creatures of habit, they are most at home in an atmosphere of security and serenity, but with love and reassurance, can easily adapt to the most boisterous of households. Their quiet, melodious voices are pleasant and non-abrasive. They communicate delightfully with their large expressive eyes and make charming pets for all ages. Persians have short heavily-boned legs to support their broad, short bodies. They like to have their feet firmly planted and are not given to high jumping and climbing. Playful but never demanding, they love to pose and will drape themselves in a favorite window or chair, enhancing the decor in much the same way as a treasured painting. Persians are tremendously responsive and become a constant source of joy and delight to their owners. Pleasurable as an unexpected sunbeam, their companionship is close and enduring.

Their long flowing coats require an indoor, protected environment. Proper maintenance requires a daily run-through with a metal comb to eliminate the potential drawbacks of tangles and hairballs. An occasional bath, attempted only after a complete comb-through and clipping of the nail tips, will keep the coat clean, healthy and beautiful. It is wise to establish the routine of the bath when they are young. While the white Persian has long been the darling of photographers and advertisers, Persians come in an astonishing number of colors, which are divided into seven color divisions for purposes of competition. Those are:

Keeping the Persian indoors also keeps it safe from transmission of disease and parasites, as well as the dangers of urban life. With an annual trip to a trusted veterinarian, and good nutrition and care, the Persian can live as a family member for easily 15 years, and some surpassing 20 years. Persian breeders dedicate themselves to breeding healthy cats, availing themselves of the latest in veterinary screening procedures to test for any heritable disease conditions. A well-bred Persian is a hardy and healthy cat and is not more prone to illness and respiratory infections than other breeds. However, the large eyes do mean that a certain amount of tearing is normal, and a daily face wash is recommended.

Pricing on Persians usually depends on type, applicable markings and bloodlines distinguished by Grand Champion (GC), National, National Breed and/or Regional winning parentage (NW, BW, RW) or of Distinguished Merit parentage (DM). The DM title is achieved by the dam (mother) having produced five CFA grand champion/premier (alter) or DM offspring, or sire (father) having produced fifteen CFA grand champion/premier or DM offspring. Usually breeders make kittens available between twelve and sixteen weeks of age. After twelve weeks, kittens have had their basic inoculations and developed the physical and social stability needed for a new environment, showing, or being transported by air. Keeping such a rare treasure indoors, neutering or spaying and providing acceptable surfaces (e.g. scratching posts) for the natural behavior of scratching (CFA disapproves of declawing or tendonectomy surgery) are essential elements for maintaining a healthy, long and joyful life.
